LIMA Half day tour (Approx. 3 hours)
Tour to the most
important places in Modern and Colonial Lima : The
Monumental Center, the colonial architecture with
its main attractions : The Main Square,
Archbishopric Palace, Government’s Palace, City
Hall, “Desamparados” train station and also old
viceregal mansions and Moresque style balconies.
You will visit the monumental complex of San
Francisco, with its convents, cloister and
dungeons. The visit continues by the residential
districts of San Isidro and Miraflores. * Daily

NATIONAL
MUSEUM Half day tour (Approx. 3
hours) A
brief visit to the famous museum that will
introduce you the History of Pre-hispanic Peru.
Several presentations will lead you through
centuries of Peruvian History before the arrival
of the Spaniards. Time permitting, you will
experience the recreation of hunters and
harvesters in the central region of Peru, a tomb
in Nazca and an aerial view of the Nazca lines.
There is also a model of Macchu Picchu and a
mock-up of “The Lord of Sipan”. The tour ends with
a brief description of the foundation of the Inca
empire and its capital Cuzco. * Daily

GOLD MUSEUM Half
day tour (Approx. 3 hours) A visit to the world
famous Gold Museum that will introduce you to a
rich collection of Gold artifacts produced by
goldsmiths of the Chavin, Mochica, Chimu and Nazca
cultures as well as the priceless collection of
weapons , collected by Miguel Mujica Gallo. *

PACHACAMAC
RUINS Half day tour (Approx. 3
hours) Visit to the citadel of
Pachacamac, sacred place of pilgrimage and
ceremonies from the beginning of the Christian
era, 31 kilometers to the south of Lima. This
place shows a complex of pyramidal constructions
of temples and precincts of ancient pre-Columbian
cultures and the Inca’s empire. Outstanding are
the Temples of Pachacamac, the Sun and the one of
the Chosen Women, the Sun Virgins. There is also a
museum which keeps the idol of the God Pachacamac,
creator of the world. * Daily

ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND HISTORICAL MUSEUM Half day
tour (Approx. 3 hours) It has a very wide
collection of all the phases of the Peruvian
culture starting from the first settlers: Nomad
hunters and collectors, passing through many
cultures such as Chavin, Nazca, Paracas, Mochica,
Wari, Inca, etc. and continuing with the Spanish
contact and ending with the beginning of the

MUSEUM Half day tour (Approx. 3
hours) This is a private
collection of Mr. Enrique Poli, where we will
appreciate samples of the pre-Hispanic cultures,
carvings and gold work. He also has a pre-Inca
ceramic exposition and another of pre-Inca
metallurgy. * Previous

LARCO HERRERA
MUSEUM Half day tour (Approx. 3
hours) This one of the biggest private
collections of the pre-Columbian Peruvian art
which grasps approximately 45,000 pieces of gold,
silver, ceramics, textiles, stones, etc. with
unique pieces of each material. This museum is
famous for its erotic ceramic collections. *

AMANO
MUSEUM Impressive collections of
textils proceeding from Chancay where we will
appreciate painted cotton weavings, fines cotton
looms of Chancay. Archaeological zone to the north
of Lima, carpets weaved of alpaca and a technicals
chains developed by the ancient peruvians weavers
which grasp from simple to brocades weavings. *

» The city of Lima, well-known also like
City of the Kings, was founded by Francisco Pizarro the
18 of January of 1535 on the right margin of the Rímac
river due to the magnificent strategic and geographic
conditions of this valley. Lima, whose name comes from
the indigenous word Rímac, that translated the Spanish
means talkative, began to grow quickly between the
testimonies of the millenarian cultures that were
developed in all this zone. One became centuries XVI
and XVII in the most important and powerful metropolis
of Spanish America, was center of the commercial and
cultural activities of the virreinato until the century
XVIII that is created the Virreinato of the Silver that
absorbed, the famous mines of Potosí. In 1821 the
independente by Don Jose of San Martín is proclaimed,
beginning the republican stage. Nowadays, Lima is a
modern city that offers a great variety of attractive,
which together with his rich past, it presents/displays
a harmonious synthesis of all this historical wealth in
his museums, traditional districts, restaurants,
