» According to the legend, Cuzco sagrada
and capital city of the Empire of the Tahuantinsuyo, was
founded around centuries XI and XII dC by the Inca Manco
Cápac, who according to account the legend, emerged from
the sacred Titicaca Lake. CuzCo was the center of
government of the four extensive regions of the incaico
empire that got to include great part of which at the
moment it is Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina
and Chile. The incaica society was an admirable
example of politicosocial organization, by its great
knowledge in architecture, hydraulic engineering,
medicine and agriculture. The 23 of March of 1534,
Francisco Pizarro founded on the city of the CuzCo a
Spanish city, that was constructed on the foundations
Incas. CuzCo is therefore, a typical example of fusion
and cultural sincretismo having inherited architectonic
monuments and works of art of incalculable value. In
Cuzvirreinal Co great revolutions against the Spanish
dominion like the one of Jose followed one another
Gabriel Condorcanqui (Túpac Amaru II) in 1780, the one
of the brothers Angulo 1813 and the one of Mateo
Pumacahua in 1814. | |
